Here’s a quick fix. We have a site that has been through a number of migrations, moves and upgrades. We use the Admin module that provide a nice UI for site administration. Somewhere along the way, the admin menu items got completely hosed.

We recently began testing the installation profile for Drupal called OpenPublish. The good folks at Phase 2 Technology have opened this installation profile (distribution) up for all to use with some key features for the semantic web. So the SSWUG Fall 2009 Virtual Conference begins today. I’ve setup at home to hibernate for hours watching the live and pre-recorded sessions on a wide range of SQL Server and business intelligence topics. An extra LCD monitor brought home, the trackball mouse from the office, headphones and webcam. The kitchen is stocked for my “conference” meals and snacks thanks to my lovely bride. I am ready!

Okay, so here is a quick tip. After making some system changes on an Ubuntu 8.04 LTS box with MySQL 5, a problem occurred. Upon starting the system up, MySQL failed to automatically start as it had been doing.
