Obama Inauguration in 3D? ….Kinda

Posted by admin On January - 26 - 2009

obama_photosynthI don’t know about you but one thing I don’t bring up on this blog is politics. Sticky subject. I will say that whether you like Obama or not, as a Christian, I will be praying for him and his administration.

1I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— 2for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy 2:1-4

Addendum – Moving Drupal Blogs posts to WordPress

Posted by admin On January - 22 - 2009

Okay, so I’ve already been asked about the script changes as I alluded to in my post yesterday. Well, I’ve succumbed to the pressure.  ;)

Here is a copy of the script contents with full attributions remaining from the original script. Again, this scripts seems to work fine from Drupal 5 or 6 importing to WordPress 2.1. Following the import we THEN upgraded WordPress to 2.7.

Hope this helps you.

Confluence – Office Connector – Doc Import Troubles

Posted by admin On January - 15 - 2009

Since about Confluence version 2.9 we’ve had problems when attempting to use the MS Word Doc Import feature of the Office Connector plugin. The process would fail with a Java NullPointerException, something like “java.lang.NullPointerException at java.util.regex.Matcher.getTextLength(Unknown Source)”. We’ve done the upgrades to 2.10 and 2.10.1 hoping this would be resolved but to no avail.

SSRS 2008 Report Parameters Ordering

Posted by admin On January - 14 - 2009

Yes, okay, call me a dolt for having to take five minutes to find this but I’ve seen this question asked so many places I figured I’d throw it up here.

In Visual Studio 2008 when working on a SQL Server Reporting Services report, you may find that you want to change the order in which the parameters are listed to the end user. Or perhaps you are using unnamed parameters, such as with ODBC, and need to change the order for token replacement in your query. Well in 2008 this is not where you expected it to be if coming from 2005.

To start with, see if you have the Report Data region showing. If not, go to the toolbar and click View –> Report Data as shown below.

Now, find the parameters section and expand it. Pick a parameter that needs re-ordering. Click and highlight the parameter. Now a little further up you will see a set of up and down arrows. Use these to move the parameter, re-order the list of parameters.

I know, too simple right? Well, sometimes the obvious things are easily overlooked.

Blessings to you!
